Yes! 'Tis finally the season! The time! And most of all, the weather! to buy a summer dress.
So of course what did I do? Buy one! (Although I must admit that I was torn between this dress I bought and this adorable sweater that I absolutely loved!!! Still do actually...)
I went to Old Navy on Wednesday and bought a beautiful summer dress, and the first of *hopefully* many pairs of flip-flops. (Ironically enough it did start snowing as I was in the store shopping for my dress, but that weather is long behind us now and the last couple of days have been bright and wonderful!)
My dress is beautiful! And, shockingly enough, long. I mean, it comes to past my knees-sitting and standing! How odd for a summer dress yes? (That of course does not mean that I'll stop my original plan of wearing leggings with it every now and then, despite what Thom says)
It's brown and orange and green and purple and cream all tied together in a plaid pattern. It is a tank-top style top so of course no wearing it without a shirt or a jacket :) but it has something close to an empire style although a little different.
When I put it on this morning Thom- being the ever helpful brother he is- told me that it looked like I was trying to hide a pregnancy, which of course made me feel depressed about my brand new dress. But I'm trying to ignore him because I still like it! And I still think I look cute! Stupid Thom....

Ah, don't listen to Thom anyway. When did he suddenly become a fashion icon? He's a crazy, and I'm sure it is adorable. :)
Seriously since when did anybody take Thom's word on cloths - he owns like four shirts and two pairs of pants. I can't wait to see it (snap a pic and put it up silly girl!)
Thanks for the post because it reminded me that I wanted to buy some cute capri leggings I saw at Walmart - now I just need transportation.
