Prom Dress!

Alright- at the behest of some of you, and to satisfy my own vanity because I am expecting at least three comments telling me how pretty I am :P I'm putting up some pictures of my prom dress on here.

Let me give you a little background first.

On Saturday Pam and I decided to do a little shopping and we decided to stop at a place called Clifton's on Washington that we'd never been to before (just for the record it has nice prom dresses but I don't think I'd ever shop there for regular clothes- they're all old ladyish) and they had some very nice prom dresses--like I just said.

They had normal priced ones (where I found this ADORABLE black and pink one that I loved, but it was $170), then they had half-priced ones- there weren't really any in there that I liked- and then they had the half off of half off ones. (Say that ten times fast!) And there was this periwinkle one (I can't decide if it's purple or blue, so it's periwinkle) that was originally $176 marked down to $44. So not only was it a fantastic price but I loved the dress!

It is sleeveless, because really where are you going to find a modest prom dress for $44? but I've discovered that if I put a white shirt on underneath it almost looks like it is a part of the dress, and once you discover it's not, it still looks pretty good, so that's what I'll be doing.

Ok, here are the pictures.

Ok, I know that none of you wanted to actually
wanted to see this picture, but I had to build
the suspense :D

The dress!

Close up of the sparkles (which is
my favorite part!)

For the record, it is quite hard
to take pictures of yourself.
Also, it is hard to put on a prom
dress by yourself! The zipper?
Holy crap!

Side shot! Heehee, see the funny little rumples
where my shirt ends? Yes, I'd make
sure that didn't happen on the actual
night. Also my hair would be done-
but I've made sure you can't see my
hair in any of these pictures so,
yay for cropping!

More of the sparkles! I sure
do love those sparkles--they
seem to add a subtle elegance
to the dress. Making it still
retain its simplicity, but yet
having you think it's elegant.
"Simple but elegant, lavish but tasteful"
"Cheap but expensive"

LOVE that movie! :D

Anyway, so there it is. Prom is on May 2nd and I'm going with Zach Matheson and I am just so excited!! There will be a post after Prom, I promise! *fingers crossed* I'll get some pictures of the actual night too!

I can't believe you got that dress for under fifty bucks - way to be a fashionable bargain shopper. It's an awesome dress. I'm jealous of your good luck and hopeful that some will wear off on me as I have to find a dress for the Green Dragon Ball (yeah I packed mine all up and I don't think they would fit anyway...) I have no idea where to look in a town who's only grocery store is in the Walmart...maybe...no I'm not even going to do that.
Anyhow I can't wait to see pictures as I'm sure you look absolutely amazing. It looks like an awesome fit.
