The Saddest Story Ever Told

Would you all like to know what is the saddest story ever? The following is the saddest story ever!

So, there I was on a glorious Sunday afternoon, lazing around, watching movies, blogging, facebooking, folding laundry, in general just being a happy lazy adult.

And there it was 20 minutes before I was going to go to bed, I was getting some final laundry put away and had just stopped to stretch my cramped up back. And there, mid-stretch, it came to me. That sickening and horrible realization that my resume was due in class tomorrow....and I hadn't done a thing for it.

Yes, that was indeed the saddest story ever.

Masquerade!

Ok, so this here is a precursor to what my whole Halloween costume will be. Since I've yet to put on my whole outfit and take pictures this will have to do for all of you right now. So, I'm going dressed as if I was going to a masquerade ball- although I'm doing semi-formal not formal-formal- so I have the black high heels (which I adore!) the red fishnet stockings (which I am SO looking forward to!) the black skirt, the red shirt, the black and gold boa with the black and gold mask. All of course accentuated with gold jewelry and fine, lovely hair (accent with gold hair spray). I really cannot even tell you all how excited I am about this!! Everytime I think of my costume the song "Masquerade" from Phantom of the Opera pops in my head-- in fact, here you go. Now you can listen to it while you look at the pictures-- like I am! :D

Ok, and here are the pictures! There'll be more (and better ones) to follow!

My shoes! Oh, I absolutely love them, they are so pretty and so comfortable! Much more than I would have thought they would be.

Front view

My black and gold boa

A close up of my boa, it didn't turn out so well....

My mask! I do love it, it has a pretty bow at the one side and because it attaches with a headband instead of string around the sides so it's more secure, more comfortable, and more mobile. I do love it!

There will be more pictures to follow, and many exciting stories I'm sure! :D

School

Yeah, I know it's been a while-- I've been very neglectful *shame shame shame*

But I have reason! I have finished my first quarter of school! This last week was full of finals and hands-on and written tests and clinical shifts and all sorts of good crazy things! But I have officially finished my first of three quarters AND I passed every single one of my classes first quarter with A's! I am so happy and so excited!

There are three quarters total in the basic massage program and then an additional one in the master program. The second quarter ends right before Christmas Break (December 17th I think) and then I graduate in March.

The first two months completely flew by! I guess what with school most days and work on the days that I don't have school every week is just a blur with few defining points.

I am still trying to make an effort for a social life though! The last couple of Fridays have been movie nights (where I got introduced into the FABULOUS world of Mystery Science Theater 3000) which have been full of laughter and good memories (thanks Jossi!!) and this upcoming Friday I'm going to WSU's homecoming dance with a good friend from work.

Haha, I keep telling myself not to stay up late on Friday nights because I have to get up insanely early for clinicals on Saturday morning, and yet I keep staying up late. I think part of me is craving that social life that I once had and is a little desperate to get part of it back. But I'm young right? They tell me that if I'm going to do this to myself I might as well do it now- in the prime of life! :P

And Dad got in tonight! There was a drop in SLC so he was allowed to go home and sleep on a real bed for the night- needless to say he was very excited. It's been so much fun to see him and tease him in person rather than over text. I've missed him so much!

But yeah, this is life in a nutshell! Crazy, hectic, and very fast paced! But- never a dull moment!
